Joker is the dynamic duo's most frequent and most exuberant enemy. His abilities as a master conjuror allow him to effortlessly escape from prison, making him even more of a threat. Luckily, his crime waves often follow some pattern or theme that sometimes allows Batman and Robin to predict his next move.
Joker is well-known for his skill with electronics, and was a hypnotist when he was younger.
ABOUT CESAR ROMERO
“I never thought to much of Batman because I never saw the comic.” Cesar Romero says about the role of Joker. He was never sure why Bill Dozier picked him to play the Clown Prince of Crime. He had never played anything like that before.
At the taping of the episode Cesar said that he really liked it. He said it was fun. The directors gave Cesar freedom on the set, as they did with Meredith, Newmar and Gorshin. “They never gave me any direction, they let me alone. There was nothing to change.” Cesar says. He also got freedom with his make up. He had grown a mustache at the age of 23 to impress an older lady. She wanted him to look older, he has had it ever since. Since he wasn’t going to shave it, they piled make up over it to cover it.
Cesar also felt that by the third season the excitement had worn thin. He said that there just wasn’t anywhere to go. It was all the same thing, show after show. Cesar died in January on 1994. Although he will be remember by the Bat-Fans as “The Joker” He said; “The Joker was just another character that came along, but I hope I’m not only going to be remembered as the Joker.”
