Nope, I don't think Robin will ever come to The Batman. I'm not that educated about stuff like the Bat-embargo or whatever but the little red and green dude belongs to Teen Titans.

I think people whine too much over Batgirl comin' in and not Robin. It's probably more of an Embargo-related issue, but even if it wasn't, a different take here and there are nothing to get too worked up over. It's what makes The Batman stand out... for better or worse.

Personally, I liked seeing Batman solo. Batgirl is not a problem for me though.

i like emotional episodes with robin. like robins reckoning 1 in BTAS. but if robin was in TB, then hes probably gnna be throwing around jokes and dissing batman...but thats what i want, lol. either that or batman solo.
but the TB batman seems younger and not serious than the batman begins batman...and if i remember correctly, TB is batman in year 3. so hes older, lol.

I just perfer Batman working alone no matter what side-kicks slow him down and make him leave the darkness where he belongs!! *jlbatman*::thebatman2::

This came up a while back and the reason was there was a contract issue over the use of Robin as a separate entity from Batman even though they're part of the same universe. For now, Cartoon Network has exclusive rights to Robin on Teen Titans. That's my understanding at least. Sounds pretty lame but oh, well.
It would be great to see Robin on "The Batman" and in some ways the use of Robin makes Batman even darker because of the obvious contrast between the two. But, Bats is pretty cool solo. |

TB was never meant to be a "dark" show. When it came out the creators said that "TB" was intended to be a lighter program that introduced Batman to the Saturday morning crowd who weren't growing up with Batman in some form. Every other generation since the 60's has had Batman in one form or another. I have little kids and there are portions of "Batman Begins" that are either too intense or over their heads. "TB" is perfect for the younger crowd and it's pretty cool for us older Bat-freaks too. |

i know that it was meant to be a light show. what i meant by my post is that if robin was introduced it would become EVEN lighter than it already is.

Probably. But "TB" is a perfect format to explore the Dynamic Duo adventure aspect. An aspect that may never be seen in the new films. |

yeah. besides, this is something we've never seen before. BTAS had robin, but he was older and it didnt really show how bruce trained or raised dick. TB will be perfect for it, but theres TT, so it probably wont happen. robin gradually dissappears from the batman stories. lol.

I'm all for darkness, that's what makes Batman. I just think Robin could be introduced w/o compromising the Batman character. Characters constantly evolve. (i.e. - "Batman" from the 60's vs. "Batman Begins" Two very different interpretations of the same character. Why not make Robin a dark character? Eliminate the green & yellow from the suit, give him a black suit w/ red chest. Could be pretty cool. Things change... |
