I just think Robin could be introduced w/o compromising the Batman character. Characters constantly evolve. (i.e. - "Batman" from the 60's vs. "Batman Begins" Two very different interpretations of the same character. Why not make Robin a dark character? Eliminate the green & yellow from the suit, give him a black suit w/ red chest. Could be pretty cool. Things change... Yeah, that's an interesting aspect. The show involves a lot of revamping, so why not change up the Boy Wonder some? I know some people would be angry, but it could be interesting to see some changes in costume and character.

People always get worked up when you change the status quo. Can't please everybody. There's been 4 Robins in continuity!!! And countless versions in Elseworlds tales!! Robin fans should have no problem w/ change especially if you're bringing back Dick Grayson as Robin. |

a red and black costume wud be cool. like the TNBA robin costume.
but i wud like robin with armor like what batman has in batman begins. so it shows that robin needs more protection than batman. and besides, itll make him look kooler. lol. and robin shud have spiky hair. not like TT, TT robin's hair looks weird. this is a robin that i wud like to see in TB.

its all black with highlights of red and green.

I agree. Robin could be darker if he was given an edge.

Why no Robin in The Batman??? I heard alot things I don't know what to belive or not!! HELP
::bbbruce:: - Not gonna happen. At least, not right now.
The problem lies in lawyers and licenses. The makers of Teen Titans have exclusive rights to use Robin from the DC comics group. In that agreement, no other toon may use Robin, unless money is paid to the person holding the license and/or DC. To use Robin without permission would cost dearly....lawsuits that would run into the millions.
Now that could change, you know, license agreements change...nothings impossible, but as it stands...Teen Titans has the only license to use Robin.
Tell your friends...this question comes up much too often.

::bbbruce:: - I am one of those people.
To introduce Batgirl before Robin is sheer lunacy...in my opinion. And I don't want to hear about any "Oh, this is an elseworlds Batman show, and we have creative freedom"....I am SICK of that argument. There are some aspects of a character's storyline you don't mess with.
Its like if I created my own elseworlds Batman and said my Batman is actually Batmite who changed into human form and became a crimefighter in Gotham...his sidekick is Alfred Pennyworth who becomes The Joker and fights crime alongside Batman...their arch enemy is Inspector Yin who falls into a vat of Miracle Grow and becomes Poisoned Ivy.
Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?
I'm being a little over dramatic on purpose to prove a point...saying something is "Elseworlds" should not give person(s) license to butcher a character's storyline. Tweeks and adjustments are fine (like on BTAS and STAS) but the essense of it SHOULD STAY TRUE.
I was very passionate about this.
As a matter of fact, it was this exact argument that got me banned from LOG.

lol. i didnt mind. it wud suck for a college student to be wearing tights and no pants. i thot the tim costume was the way to go. if he wore the original suit, his pubes wud be hanging out. i bet dick was so tramatized from badguys seeing his pubes hang out that he covered his whole body with the nightwing suit, lol. i hope this is family-friendly...if not...delete it right now!
