DC is really not helping the case to not wait for the trade on titles by selling the 52 trade for about $15 less than the individual issues cost. I wonder if the content will get changed like it did in the Infinite Crisis trade.

I do like that they are telling what happened to Nightwing in the missing year in an annual. That is the perfect way to tell the missing story without interrupting the main title story and the extra space available. I wish that they would do that with all the titles.

Well it is 4 total of trades on 52 collecting 13 issues each. I think its a good deal. Would you want the price to be higher?

To be fair to the people who bought the issues individually, yes I think the trade should be higher. 13 issues at $2.50 each is $32.50. The trade is $19.99.

It upsets me that the comic publishers are essentially punishing the regular readers of the titles by collecting the stories and putting out at lower cost, without ads, and usually with "bonus material." That is a discussion for another thread though.

DC seems to be ending some series this time around. Here is what I caught.

MANHUNTER #30
Written by Mark Andreyko
Art by Javier Pina & Robin Riggs
Cover by Jesus Saiz & Pina
The shocking series finale! When you?re the best superhero lawyer on earth, where do you find your next challenge? Look to the stars?
On sale April 4 ? 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US ? Final Issue

I borrowed a trade of the first few issues from the library, and it was pretty good. Just not something I would pay money for. I guess that I am not in the minority.

FIRESTORM #35
Written by Dwayne McDuffie
Art by Pop Mhan & Rob Stull
Cover by Pete Woods
The end is here as Firestorm faces the fury of a superpowered Kalibak and a horde of Parademons! After this battle, you?ll see a Firestorm that?s never been seen before!
On sale April 25 ? 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US ? Final Issue

I may have picked up this the first issue of this series, but it just wasn't my thing. Yet another in a long distinguished line of cancelled Firestorm series.
