One year later, as in they're all one year older and wiser?

This OYL stuff sounds pretty cool, I guess it doesn't really matter because comic characters don't really age...right?

Well technically they will all have aged one year, but it doesn't affect much since its only a year later.

Its mainly to have all the titles in the DCU have a fresh start once Crisis is over. Crisis will set up how the DCU will work for this generation or whatever you want to call it, and the one year later will allow all the series to start up with this new way of things working right off the bat.

That didn't make much sense, but yeah.

The leap occurs after IC #5, beginning with the books that go on the shelf this Wednesday. Some pivotal event occurs in IC #5, which will also be available this Wednesday. Most of the DCU books that have been released this past month feature some sort of "ripple" at the end of the issue, followed by an image of several past incarnations of the characters. Then, with each issue that ships in March, the firs page begins with the caption "One Year Later," then we're off into the new DCU. Newsarama is having a daily feature previewing nearly all the OYL books. For the books that have been previewedso far, including Catwoman and Birds of Prey, look here: http://newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60574
