Hey all! Mr. Tim Sale, part of the team that brought the Long Halloween, Dark Victory and Catwoman: When In Rome, has agreed to let us ask him some questions.
So have at it, I'll give you guys a few days before I send them off to him!
Okay, let me toss out a few off the top of my head...
-Of the Batman villains you have not drawn in your Batman stories-- such as Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Harley, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, etc.-- which would you most like to do?
-Who are your favorite Batman characters-- favorite supporting character, favorite villain, favorite ally, etc.
-Of the Batman stories you've done, which did you enjoy working on the most?
-What was your working relationship with Jeph Loeb like? How much, if any, input did you have on the stories? Did even YOU know who Holiday and the Hangman were from the beginning, or did Loeb leave you in the dark as long as possible?
-What, if any, input did you have in the production of the upcoming action figures based on your designs from "The Long Halloween?"
-The ending of TLH was left rather vague and open to interpretation. In your opinion, who was the real Holiday?
-You did some rather extensive redesigns to some of the Batman cast of characters in your work. Which was your favorite, and which was the most difficult to redesign?
-The instant classic "Blades," on which you collaborated with James Robinson, is widely considered one of the best Batman stories of the past decade or so. How do you feel it compares to your other work on Batman?
-What are some of your favorite Batman stories?
-Which is your favorite Batman film?
a few more general questions:
-Who is your biggest artistic influence?
-What are some of your favorite comics/stories, past and present?
-what is your favorite work of your own?
-Which creators have you most enjoyed collaborating with?
-Which creators would you like to work with in the future?
