Probably doesn't help, but there's one on eBay for $80. Bein' sold from the hometown of Bret 'Hitman' Hart. :shy:

I think $80 is pretty typical for these kits now. It's been quite a few years since they were produced, and they're really nicely done with resin & metal parts. |

Yeah, those two will put a pretty big dent in your wallet. I'll keep an eye open for a cheaper one, though. |

I just have the '60s Danbury model. Thought about getting the '50s one, just not so comfortable with the price. The Johnny Lightning model is pretty similar, so I guess I'll just finish it and see what I think. I'll try and keep an eye out for the '80s Horizon model too.

The second Danbury car is actually the '40s version, like the recent Corgi car:

By the way, how is the Johnny Lightning car coming? |

Danbury has the 40s one for $149.00 and you can do it in 5 Monthly Installments of $31.36. Thats how I got mine.

By the way, how is the Johnny Lightning car coming? There we go. I couldn't remember if it was '40s or '50s. :shy:
To be honest, I haven't touched the Johnny model since I got stuck on the speedometers. I'll most likely use your decal method and go from there. I guess I'm the kinda guy that falls out, then back into my projects. But once it's finished with my personal touch, I'll probably post photos for the model enthusiasts of the forum.
