it looks SOOO good. apparently it's run by the same guys who did TT, TB, and LOSH. they "tried" to make the theme song more updated and fresh, but it still sounds like 80's rock to me. oh, by the way...this is the only american produced tformers show besides beast wars.

Though it looks like they are aiming towards a younger audience..

were any of the tformers aimed towards an older audience? lol. maybe beast wars...but that's it. and i guess the movie, but even that was aimed towards teenagers.

it still looks a lot better than the japanese produced tformers (armada, energon, cybertron).

Now see, I liked Armada. But now, most cartoons are aimed at kids. But I mean, this looks.. IDK, I guess I'll have to see it in action, not on some vid that was taken from the con.. I mean an actual show.

i'm not saying the japanese shows were bad...but i prefer the animation style shown in the comic con vid. me saying it looks better, is exactly that. i just think it looks better (animation, shinyness, etc).

and believe me, i liked armada too. but that was kiddy as well. i mean c'mon. kids saying, "optimus dont leave! we love you. oh man, i'm gonna cry"...it really cant get ant kiddier than that.

that little girl in the vid is probably scaring you.

Not bad, I'm going to try to catch this when it comes on. I wish the alt-modes were more realistic, but I know they can't really do that any more thanks to licensing fees.

the prime and bumblebee designs remind me of the classics line. i think the alt modes look pretty cool. and some of the designs are actually realistic. if u've seen soundwave's designs, his alt mode resembles a scion xb...yeah, soundwave is a car, and laserbeak is a guitar. strange, but how else are u supposed to bring him back when we dont use stereos anymore?

and here's some news that some of u might be interested in.
-jeff bennet(johnny bravo) will be voicing for ultra magnus
-phil lamarr(green lantern) will be voicing for jazz
-tom kenny(spongebob) will be voicing for starscream
-david kaye(megatron) will be voicing for optimus prime. LOL!
-john moschitta(blur) will be voicing for blur. again. fastest talking man alive.

i've been getting into transformers a lot lately because of the new movie. man...if only there was a batman/transformers cross over. since batman has a ton of batmobiles, boats, planes, jets, and stuff...i'm sure he can supply the best alt modes the autobots can get.

There's the critical word, though: "resembles." I've always liked the definitely earth-based vehicles best (G1 faded for me when they started adopting more Cybertronian designs, but then returned as soon as Firebirds and DeLoreans started showing up). Yeah, Soundwave is definitely based on the xB, but Skids from the recent Alternators line is an xB, complete with factory-correct logos, wheels, and a detailed interior.

I agree that Soundwave as a vehicle is a reasonable choice. There are several vehicles that the name would be appropriate for, and he would no longer have any mobility or mass issues. Better than the lamp post he used to be in his pre-cassette recorder days wink

i heard the show takes place in a futuristic detroit, so i guess it makes sense to have those anime-looking vehicles.

and if they made an alternators animated movie, THAT would be cool. but instead of having optimus as a dodge ram, have him as a truck. i think the only thing holding them back is how hard it would be to animate it.
