I would like to take this opportunity to wish Efrem Zimbalist Jr. a Happy 88th Birthday! Born on 30 November 1918, Mr. Zimbalist played on 77 Sunset Strip (1958-64) and The FBI (1965-74) before playing Alfred Pennyworth from 1992 to 2004. Happy Birthday, Mr. Zimbalist!!

My goodness. What happened to Alfred's eye? Lemme guess, he was dusting one of Batman's gadgets in the cave and inadvertedly set it off.

His "girlfriend" Lee Meriwether had one, too, in 2004. Lee played his girlfriend, Joanna Laurens, in the first season of The FBI, in fall 1965. So it could have been a temporary condition.
