Since I have only seen this on Rich Johnston's Lying the Gutters, I am not going to assume this is totally accurate news, but he has reported that current Batman family editor, Peter Tomasi, will be stepping down and become an exclusive writer with DC Comics.
I am not sure if an editor chang ewill really make that big a difference in the Batman comics since it does not seem that the editors have as much creative control over things as they did when Denny O'Neil ran the Bat-universe.
Stay tuned for a possible confirmation and more as it becomes available.

RE: Peter Tomasi, current Batman Editor, Exclusively Writing?
I was a bit apprehensive when I read about this on IGN. Under the previous editor, we got plenty of crappy stories because of the lax editing on the entire line. Tomasi has shown, through interviews and the people he has gotten to work on the books, that he "gets" the characters. I really hope things don't fall apart after he leaves, and we get another editor with sympathetic views on the line. I don't think we have much to worry about though, since both Dini and Morrison are supposedly sticking around for a good long while.
