Anyone pick up this story yet? I bought it earlier today and just finished reading it. I didn't know what to expect from the story but I'm liking it a lot. I was looking forward to another Batman/Superman with Aliens/Predators crossover. Most of the time, I don't really pay attention to the storyline but this one was awesome.

There's been sightings of aliens and predators all oer the world including Gotham City and Metropolis. Through investigation, Batman and Superman arrive in the mountains of Peru to discover a colony of predators in a volcano. It's up to them to stop the predators from entering the human world and make sure they go back to where they came from.

I kept thinking of the storyline of Aliens vs. Predator. That should give you an idea about the book.

I wanted to get this, since most of the previous installments have been surprisingly good. I remember when Batman vs. the Predator came out, and I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever seen. The guy at the comic store was so sure I'd like it, he told me I could bring it back next week and he'd give me my money back if I didn't like it.
Well, I did like it. I liked it a lot. Most of the others have been good too, although I missed Superman vs. Aliens, which is supposed to be one of the best ones. I was gonna get this new series, but I simply forgot to add it to my January order before the deadline, so it won't be coming in my box of comics at the end of the month. I didn't order the secnd part, since I won't have the first. That's one of the few disadvantages of ordering your comics via the internet. Oh well, they're bound to collect it in a little while, so I guess I'll pick it up then.

Also with this story, I'm kind of sad that it only has 2 issues. It would've been great for it to extend a couple of more issues.

Same here. I ended up getting a copy in a lot of other comics, and thought it sounded a bit ridiculous (previous crossovers I'd read seemed to exist solely for the purpose of being crossovers). Then I actually read it. It was true to both Batman's and the Predator's histories, had a well written story, and good art. Heck, it could even fit in-continuity without much of a stretch. Totally surprising.

Yeah, it still astonishes me. It's an idea that just shouldn't work at all, but it's great!

If you mean the three Batman vs. Predtor crossovers, the first is definitely the best. The second is pretty good too. The third one is okay, the weakest of the bunch, but with a few really cool scenes. One great moment from the third is when the Predator can't see Mr. Freeeze, even though he is right in fron of him, because his thermal-based vision won't pick him up.

As a fan of the first three Alien movies, I am whole heartedly against cross-overs... Predator Vs. Batman & Superman works; but don't get Aliens into the mix, they were one of the few scary horror film monsters, and as a kid I was terrified of the Aliens; but with crossovers Aliens are reduced to two-bit grunts who do the work while the Predators are viewed as the real villian.

Not to mention the in Alien canon the Aliens are an undiscovered species as in no human being has seen them before.

That's the fun thing about fiction, you can ignore what you don't like. I was a little skeptical about this because of some reviews I read before reading it, but it was actually pretty good. With it only being a two-parter it isn't that much of a time and money commitment either.

I think Aliens (the 2nd film), is the most genuinely scary film I've ever seen. It was so tense and moody - and in places outright terrifying.............

I saw that at the cinema a couple of times when it was released, all these years later I still remember it being harder to watch the 2nd time! You'd think it would easier to deal with - on the contrary! Because I knew what was coming, it seemed harder! It's possibly because a good shocker seems worse on the big screen.

I dunno why I've never bought the DVDs of those.

Back on topic, looking forward to the comic - I personally like a good crossover...........
