The Alex Ross book, is it worth getting and what does it have? Plus, could someone send me some scans?
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.

You could pretty much just go to his website (www.alexrossart.com) to see some of the images in there. It is definitely worth buying
The paperback came out recently for $25.00. I think that the hardcover war $35 or $40. I thumbed through the paperback when it got to the store, and it actually has more stuff in it than the hardcover. Mainly just covers and concept art for the Justice maxi-series. The cover is also different. THis one is much more dynamic and less iconic than the hardcover.

I flipped through that at a book store a while back. It does have some awsome paintings. I honestly couldn't tell if some of photos where wax sculptures or the real people that portray Ross' Superman and Batman. This is on my long-term Wish List, good to know the Paperback has more stuff.

I got the hardcover for my birthday last year, and I constantly look through it. A great buy for any fan of Alex Ross.
The only problem is that after you read it for a while, you'll start to be a lot less impressed by every other comic artist.

Marge: Homer, I've got someone here who can help!
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.
Marge: It's not BATMAN!! |
