that cool, I think you have to buy two, in order to make a double blade.
Yesterday started to run at TRU the packs of 1/65 batpod with joker truck & tumbler with something else. |

The card is a little different, and actually more plain.. this is supose to be in Series 2, which won't be released until later this summer.. I'm wondering why this is showing up..

I picked up the two sets of Hot Wheels Action Duos at Toys R Us. These are 1:64 scale regular Hot Wheels. Batman & Harvey Dent has the Batmobile from the Batman Begins series and a normal looking sports car for Dent. Batman & The Joker has the Bat Pod and an Armored Truck with a Circus Tent tampo that reads The Joker. Both sets also include what appears to be a Batman inspired launcher to send the cars racing.
The Bat Pod is the first one I’ve seen in toy form and it is a larger than 1:64 scale when compared to the other Hot Wheels cars.
While Hot Wheels has released numerous Batman themed Two Packs before, these are the only two shown on the Card Back.

No you only need one, there are two buttons on the handle. One acyivates the built in sounds and the other button deploys the other spring loaded blade, but you have to press both buttons at once to do it.

The Dark Knight battle sword?! That's just ridiculous. Maybe they could have gotten away with making that for Begins, because he had a ninja sword in that one, but what on Earth does it have to do with TDK? And you know how I feel about role play toys for a mostly adult oriented movie...

About every three months I drive up to the next town and visit a Big K-Mart store there. I'm in this town regularly but this store is outside of the far end of town. Really out of the way. It's a good size store (hence the name), but the parking lot is always nearly empty. I have no idea how they have kept from closing the last few years. Nevertheless, I always find something there that I was missing from my collection. Today I went and found a sparse display of TDK toys. Not sparse from being picked over, just a small section of TDK stuff. And there I found the elusive Treadator! They only had the one, but it's at home with me now. What are the chances? I also picked up the Hot Wheels TB Batcave Training Run with motorized track and exclusive Batmobile. It's been a good day! |

They reused the Batman Begins Ninja Sword too for The Dark Knight I've seen them at Wal-Mart. Mattel must figure every kid needs a cool Ninja Sword to smack thier little brother or sister with.

I wrote earlier today about how I finally found the seemingly rare Treadator from the TDK collection. A couple others have said that they were lucky enough to find one too. But now I'm wondering about another seemingly hard to find item - Fear Shot Scarecrow. Has anyone else been having the same trouble finding this one? The other six figures this size and the four Power Tek figures are plentiful. As are most of the vehicles, with the exception of the Treadator obviously. but I have never seen the Fear Shot Scarecrow, which is supposed to be in the same wave of release as the others. Any insight on this? Is it just my area or is the Scarecrow the action figure equivalent of the Treadator? |

The Treadator is indeed the rare vehicle in the series. I’ve only seen two at Retail. Fear Shot Scarecrow is not rare at all. He is a Batman Begins Skull Strike Scarecrow with no significant changes. If you can’t find in on single cards, try The Dark Knight Movie Multi-Pack which is a Toys R Us exclusive 4 Pack with Scarecrow, The Joker (in purple) and both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Batman figures. The 4 Pack does not have any of the accessories that the single figures do.
All of the Basic and the Deluxe Power Tek figures are all over the place. Even Destructo-Case The Joker is not as hard to find, as I would have thought.

Thanks, FlaBat! I guess I just need to widen my shopping radius a little more. I didn't think that the Fear Shot would be much different from the Skull Strike, which I do have, but wanted it on the TDK card nonetheless. I just hate holes in my collection. |

While off the subjet of TDK merchandise, this is still cool and applies to movie merchandise. An upstairs neighbor gave me a Batman Forever Batman collectors mug from McDonald's last night. It is in mint condition and never used. I actuallly had the set in '95, but a lot has happened since then. I found a picture of it on this site (that's what I love about this site). A TDK Treadator and a 1995 BF mug all in the same day. Wow.

That Joker is not yet for sale Chris. at least down here. many stuff will come in July.
@ FlatBat:
thanks for the aclaration about the blade.
Abouth the 1:64 packs:
There is actualy 3 packs. two already mentioned, & the 3rd is the Bruce car (Silver & Black) with something else.
About the Treadator:
yes is the less common, but not impossible to find where I'm at.
I have seen few. & I got one.
Got also in TRU the 1:50 Tumbler, & others, luckly I went the first day in the morning when the store opened, & saw few. I get them all including the 1966 motorcycle, its on hold until I get there with more cash.
Other wouldn't have it, in revenge for not giving me a break with the Joker MM & Bruce haha! .
The Tumbler golden brake system look exagerated on picture but not in person.
Oh! Also the Gothan Transforming is already there for about a week. $60.00 buck

I'm not sure where these are selling, but I have seen reports of people finding them.
It could be a miship item, gone out to early..
