Wicked pix Flabat and Spencer........

The 1/43rds I've actually not taken out of their boxes. I think the boxes of those are so good that I've decided to keep that way. I've even considered getting a second set so that I can have them out on display - but I don't know I've got the room for it even if I did invest. For now they're one of the few things that I'm insisting on keeping MIB.

Spencer - what's the sky blue 60s job with the yellow oval wheels?

FLabat - in all the time I've been reading your posts, this morning was the 1st time I worked what your name meant!

Great looking collection, FlaBat! What did you use for your tiers? I had made a set for my old shelves, but they were just a temporary measure and didn't look that good.

Thank You. The tiers I used are called Display System I from Mini Mag Stands & Displays http://www.minimagstands.com/ . These are custom sized to fit the new bookcases. I’m currently in the middle of an Extreme Makeover of my collection with 11 all new custom bookcases and the Mini Mag Stands displays systems to put in them.

The neat thing is that these are metal and when I get the magnet stands I will be able to pose figures in action poses without the threat of them falling over. I looked at a number of display systems before settling in these.

Display System I’s are normally 12 1/4 " Tall by 12 1/4 " Deep BY 13" Wide, but they will make them custom widths if you need them. The tiers are either 3” wide or 4” wide depending upon how you set it up. The Corgis are using the 4” wide set up.

Thanks, Flabat - I'm going to have to look into those!

My "1970" version of the Corgi car:

I already had the Danbury and JL cars when this came out, so I wanted to do something different. I decided to go with the generic version of the car that was used for marketing of the era, including the '95 Hallmark ornament:

Flatbat your collection is just breathtaking!

Also. those little Strormtroopers (looks like a couple of unleashed battlepacks); assuming thats correct, those 1/32 Star Wars figures are amongst my favourite ever ranges of toys. I absolutely adore them. As completing collections go, that lot were proving a bit of a performance for me though (I wasn't buying them at the outset and the older sets were blinkin' difficult to find in the UK), but I struck lucky with a bulk collection from the States on Ebay. I got about a dozen packs (including the four I didnt have) for about $100 all in. The $$$$ was at it's all time lowest against the ££££ and I sold the duplicates on Ebay for more than I paid for the lot! There are 3 new sets of those out in a couple of weeks if anyone else likes them.

Very nice.

Spencer - I've been through your own (excellent) site a good few times for both reference and fun - don't recall that one. Very good indeed.

PS - before I went off on one about Star Wars, I meant to say I emailed Corgi asking what's going on with the new stuff - if they answer I'll post the response.

Thank You. Yes, real-dark-knight, those are Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper Unleashed Battle Packs. That’s just one wall and a corner and even it has changed a bit since the pictures. I hope to have the whole room done in a couple months and then I’ll post more pictures.

I dont know what I was looking for, and I've long since given up on the new Corgi range (I've actually stopping keeping an eye on them for possible release dates), but today, I noticed that Play.com have all the new cars (or at least new painted cars) due for release tomorrow! (14/12/07). I'm sure thats nonsense, but makes me wonder - they must be getting their info from somewhere.......

I've still given up however.

Five more cars are planned for re-release: the 1930s coupe, the 1960s Batmobile, Two-Face's hardtop, Catwoman's car, and the Killer Mothmobile. All five are repaints of existing cars, but will include a special figure:

I'd long since given up on these - but they're here!! (or 5 of them are - Catwoman hasnt been released, but there's another Batman instead).

I was having a nosey last weekend to see what the UK prices were for the new 66 Batmobile, and to my amazement these were all listed as in stock and ready to post. They arrived this morning....

At the moment I have 5 of the 6 - the 60s Batmobile hasn't arrived yet.

The paintwork in truth isn't as good as the existing models - but they're still good.

The boxes they come in are the same sort of silver leaf style as the already well known golden, silver, modern etc age sets.

There's some pictures attached - I'm not a photographer so it's not exactly Spencer's website quality.

Very pleased from shadow of St Albans Abbey.

Great pictures! I just can't bring myself to re-purchase them. CATWOMAN was the one I would have gone for, with the improved paint job.

Congrats, and thanks for posting the photos! Looks like they're about the right size to stand next to the 1/18 Batmobiles.

As an aside, am I the only one that thinks the figure of Batman with his arms folded looks weird? When he's drawn with his arms folded, they're usually up across his chest:

Having them down that far makes him look a bit like he was just kicked in the gut and is still recovering. It also looks like he's wearing his belt across his midsection.

The 60s set of these re-released cars (with figure) came this morning.

Yep Spencer, very good point about the 1/18 Batmobiles, that makes much more sense - and incidentally, I remember I picked up the Begins Ninja board game for 99p in a charity shop - the item itself is cheapo cash-in junk and thats about the right price, except for the fact that the x4 Batman figures go perfectly with the 1/43 cars!!

Batman recovering from a kick in the guts (60s figure and car)

For the moment at least (and I suspect maybe forever - for the time being!) that completes Corgi's run. I'm still actually surprised that these made it.
