Two all new Power Tek figures, Battering Slam BATMAN and Flame Shot BATMAN are out now. Also seen at Toy’s R Us was Ultra Blast Batman are large scale (12”-14”) figure with a detachable blaster. I saw at Wal-Mart a small R/C ATV with a Batman figure on it as well.
What I’m NOT seeing is Two-Face or any of the other Wave 3 basic figures. The Dark Knight is the second largest grossing film in history so why has the figure selection been so lame?
Wave 2 figures seem pretty well entrenched on the pegs with no signs of selling through anytime soon. That may be part of the reason we have not seen Wave 3 yet.
Wave 2 Movie Masters were readily available in stores down here, except of course for the Chase Version of Batman Begins Batman, that I picked up on eBay for a reasonable price. I’m really hoping to see Wave 3 out soon, but I’ve seen nothing on it yet.

I can’t remember if the name was Ultra Blast Batman or maybe Ultimate Blast Batman. It looks like the TRU 12” Batman figures, maybe a little taller and is definitely from TDK. It is similar in nature to Ultra Blast BATMAN from The Batman EXP series except it is not as tall. It even has the Target on the back of the box. This looks to be a TRU exclusive.

Hot Toys Bank Robber Joker
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!
There were two things that kinda had me iffy on the first Hot Toys Joker, the head wasn't the best, the likeness was kinda off and the make-up seemed a little too prestine, and it didn't come with his hand gun OR his machine gun.... Well this new one looks JUST like him, in likeness and make-up, and comes with both the Mk760 machine gun and the Glock 18.
GOD!!!! Now I reall want to buy both of them and dress this one in the first ones clothes!!!!!
Also, for those of you interested in buying this and the other Hot Toys Batman figures, they'll be arriving at Corner Store Comics in December and you can pre-order them for $150 dollars, that's $15 less than the original price!
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!

Just as Mattel’s The Dark Knight line looks all but dead at Retail, I find some new figures at Wal-Mart tonight. Blade Attack Deathstroke, Riot Strike Batman, Battle Belt Batman, and Electro-Net Batman. Pictured on some of the Card Backs are Aqua Attack Batman and Rocket Pack Firefly although I saw neither of them on the pegs.
Still NO Two-Face in the Basic Assortment or even Movie Masters Assortment yet, which is really ticking me off. Two characters (Deathstroke and Firefly) NOT EVEN IN THE MOVIE get made, but not the secondary villain. I wonder just what is Mattel thinks some times.
Riot Strike Batman is the same as the Batman figure in the Target Exclusive BATMAN vs. Fear Shot Scarecrow 2 Pack released a month or so ago.
Electro-Net Batman is the one that was bright yellow in the pre-production pictures, but it he is toned down to a nice moderate gold color now.
Battle Belt Batman is a blue and gray repainted Staff Strike BATMAN. It’s and interesting take of the classic colors on the new Batsuit. Kind of cool, but most people will pass on him.

No sightings of anything new. I do notice more Batman and Joker figures from the Movie Masters line showing up at Wal-Mart, Target and TRU. The only sighting I’ve had of the new Wave 3 Basic Figures in the above post was that one night only. 10 days later and they have not been seen again, at least not yet. Even the Batman variants are not showing up.
Still no sign of Two-Face anywhere, although I did see an in package picture of him online somewhere.
TRU has a buy one get one 50% off on Batman figures as they start to close out the line at Retail. The other stores the pegs are stagnant, as nothing seems to be moving.

That sounds pretty cool. I may end up picking up that one. I haven't really bought anything in a while.
I am hoping that we manage to get a Two face in time for the theatrical re-release in January, but you would think that Mattel would have shown something by now.

Well, here's a better look at that Movie Masterpiece Two-face that they were teasing at a few weeks ago...
http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=10&itemid=13557
Wow, I still haven't desided whether or not to get the Joker or Batman, and they're dangling this in front of us...
Anway, the Two-face fidure comes with two sets of hands, a revolver, Two-faces coin, two heads (scarred and unscarred) and two suit jackets (one pristine, the other is burnt.) So basically you can choose to pose it as Harvey or as Two-face.
I might just end up living in a cardboard box. lol

I saw pics of the improved Hot Toys Batman from The Dark Knight. Normally, I wouldn't think about buying it because its too big and expensive. However, just looking at the attention to detail and the exact likeness of Christian Bale really makes me reconsider the possibility of getting it.
It's still overpriced but I just might give in, lol.

I’m not seeing any “new” Movie Masters Figures down here, but I am seeing a lot of older ones. In Wal-Mart tonight they had a lot of Wave 1. Batman, The Joker and Gotham City Thug. At least 3 maybe 4 cases worth. All looked to be original UPC’s without stickers.

The Movie Masters Bat-Pod is out at Target now. It’s a Target exclusive and quite impressively detailed. It does not come with a figure, but the Movie Masters Batman fits on it nicely. MSRP $19.99

Do you think there will be a Movie Masters Tumbler?
if not I have to buy the Hot Toy one, I kinda skip it for SW figures.
