I found Bane and Killer Croc at a Wal-Mart tonight. Only two there were, the pegs are still a mess after Christmas. While Bane and Scarecrow are both a re-release of the ones available in Wave 6 overseas, Killer Croc has the same body as before, but a new head, new colors and no tail.

A closer look shows that the new DC Superheroes Bane is just slightly different than the Bane from the Wave 6 Comic Style figures that were released overseas.
While the body is the same for both, there is a better flesh tone paint job on the DC Superheroes version. The DC Superheroes version also has two open hands while the Wave 6 version had both closed fists. The Wave 6 version also came with one ?Brass Knuckle? that had spikes and was painted silver that snapped over either fist.

I found Croc, Scarecrow, and Bane at Target tonight, so it looks like we'll have plenty of choices for stores to pick them up. Scarecrow has one semi-loose ankle, but otherwise I think they're great. Croc especially looks better up close than he does in photos. |

They haven't said yet. It should be Cassie, but Babs would be the popluar choice.

I liked the Cassandra Cain Batgirl that DC Direct did just fine. I hope they do the current Batgirl, but I like the classic one too.

Maybe they should do Cassandra as Batgirl and Barbara as Oracle. There has only been one Oracle figure ever release that I recall.

I got lucky today, a whole case just put out at Walmart as well as the EXP stuff which was already out...
I got a Bane with the Bear...But I thought Batman came with the Bat signal thing which sucks. Overall Im kinda dissapointed in these figures They tried to make them articulated to compete with marvel but failed in that respect and dont included any display stands.
The Batman figure has weird hands and joints on the wrist which arent really needed, would have rather had changable hands/fists or something. My Batman also has Blue Pegs in his Knee joints which looks odd, and the plastic used on him is terribly weak, his head feel loose and comes off easily, which could be a saftey hazard, would have liked a ball jointed head instead of two wrist joints. and since the hips and thighs dont move much having his feet jointed doesnt really do anything.
Bane also has Jointed feet which dont do anything since he is almost doing a split, he really needed ball and socket hips so he could stand up. He atleast should have had more joints in his hands/fingers to make a fist and be able to grapple/lift batman or something.
The Scarecrow is the best figure of the bunch, alot of articulation, and it all can be used to make some cool looking poses. The joint in his neck is great, he can almost look/tilt his head in any direction. I just wish he came with the display stand that was shown at one of the toy fairs...
As for Croc, I think he is better than the first figure, which looked too much like The Lizard. The paint job on this one is much better and he has stronger plastics so i dont worry about him gradually "melting" over on my shelf(Scarecrow keeps passing out). He doesnt have more than 6 joints or so, which means he still can't really wrestle with Batman yet.
I had too high expectations I guess for Mattel, atleast for $9 a piece we should get a little more than revised releases...They still look cool in my collection though, and this is the best looking scarecrow figure I've ever seen.

Yeah, this first wave suffers from being re-released old product. I have the overseas version of this Batman figure, and it's better in many ways. The changes Mattel made actually harm, rather than improve, the figure. Bane's legs are at a weird angle, but I never had any trouble getting him to stand up. We'll really see the full potential for this line with the later waves, which will feature all new figures rather than tweaked versions of old figures.
I'm curious, though. Since you saw an entire case, what was the assortment like? I'm wondering if the figures are being packed in equal numbers, or if Batman is being overpacked.

The figures are really cool, but does anyone else think Batman looks a little bit like RoboCop in disguise?

Since I never did get the overseas versions, I was happy to see the re-releases. Croc & Bane stand up fine for me, too. I didn't get Batman (I'm sticking with Zip Line), so I can't comment on him. Scarecrow kept falling over, but now he's leaning against the wall, so problem solved. |

The new DC Superheroes Batman is a bit of a disappointment compared to Attack Armor Batman. The new figure is a re-issue of Batsignal Batman, with some minor changes and without the Batsignal.
It's basically a Zipline Batman with ankles from the Utility Belt down, the upper body however has articulation at mid torso and better arms with bicep and elbow articulation. The soft rubber for the gloves is too soft and I would guess that hands would come off too easily while being played with.

Yup, its nice to have the figures, but these are slightly worse quality than something you'd find in a happy meal. Dont get me started on the Supergirl figure either...
He had put up 2 batmans, 3 crocs, 1 Bane w/ teddy, 2 Scarecrows.
And the comic that came with Croc had some pretty ugly drawings in it, IMO
