REVIEW:
Child's Play is the real fourth episode to our show. This, when I heard about it, was suppose to be another Superman centered episode, A Superman-esque episode, as it was about Superman fighting out his weakness in magic.
The episode starts out with Brainiac 5 and Superman seeing muffins coming to life and buildings smiling because they have a face, among other things. Its all due to a kid who has magical powers. The kid, who is named Ziggs, is a handful at first. But they take him back to the Legion, where they find out who and what he is. When danger is all caused by Ziggs, Lightning Lad yells at him to go home.
My reaction to this episode was mixed. Basically this episode was and for what the title suggests, for kids. This episode felt more toward the kid audience than the others. It had some funny moments like the Legion trying to catch Ziggs. And the last good joke was how Bouncing Boy distracted Ziggs. But the action wasn't exciting for most of the episode until the third act, and the jokes were dry, making this episode boring, again most of the time. There was some cameos when the kid was snapping his fingers like the Lantern to the Green Lanterns, and the Helmet of Fate to Dr. Fate.
In this episode, two characters show themselves. Superman finds out he has a weakness in magic. And it seems that the Legion didn't know that. Going back to Brainiac 5 saying that all infomation was "lost during the great Crisis", I guess that explains it. And Superman faced a tough time with the powers of Ziggs. Like actually fighting for his life inside the mouth of a monster plant and losing his powers to the kid. The other character is Phantom Girl, who uses her diplomatic skills for the first time. She has to go to Ziggs' planet to get help. Diplomatic work isn't easy, but her work on THAT planet is tougher. Filing paperwork about the size of a stadium, fighting a animal twice her size, and waiting in line miles long just to talk to those in charge of the planet.
The young sorcerer was sorta like a Mr. Mxyzptlk for the LoSH series. As a kid, he's a brat. He hates rules and wants to do things and live his way. Basically, thats all you need to know about him. Chances are he will come back but hopefully he'll wait for a long time before coming back.
Overall, this episode was mixed. Half was good and half was bad. Which says that in my rating. The villian was a Mxyzptlk-character for the series since they didn't want to use actual Superman villians. Since the news recently about the series second season, this will only affect this season. This episode was more for kids and it reflected that. So if you missed it, don't kid yourself. Its next week's that looks alot better.
RATING: 5/10
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
(crack!)
And I'm the surgeon.

I thought The Episode was Spectacular, I really did like it, it was great to see Superman finding out about his weakness to Magic, and I also liked seeing Superman Using his SuperBreath, that was great, Ziggs reminds me alot of Mr. Mxtzptlk, I first thought it was him on The Episode, untill I heard his name, I can't wait to see Next Week's Episode it is going to be great.
