PLOT:
A mysterious scientist asks the Legion to help capture a dangerous creature. They succeed, only to discover the creature is nowhere near as dangerous as the scientist himself.

REVIEW:
Reviews of the first episode, including mine, were all positive. All showing, and proving, that we have here a new show that was a winner. With the introduction of Superman into the team done, normally we would continue on. However, as we saw in promo shots, there is one more member of the team and he was missing in the first episode. And that is who's going to get an introduction episode for himself: Timber Wolf.

The story was pretty much what I thought it was: Timber Wolf is said to be something he's not and the Legion buys it until the truth is revealed later. Well actually Saturn Girl sensed something when they talked to the scientist. And she is the first person, other than Bouncing Boy and Brainiac 5, to figure things out from Timber Wolf in his monster form befroe they help him go into his normal human/creature hybrid. Timber Wolf is basically a lost, sad soul. What the scientist did to him, his own son, you end up feeling for him. You could figure things out from the beginning and when you saw Saturn Girl, not being very sure about the guy, and about to talk and probably yell at the screen to the Legion to make sure they know too. Glad I didn't do that. lol

When they first popped up fighting the monster (kinda looks like that monster that fought Jor-El in STAS' first episode) Superman looks like he has learned enough to start becoming the Man of Steel. You can see that when he subduled that monster and how he talked to hotheaded Lightning Lad, and fought in the battles like the robots at the end, he is starting to not be a confused man anymore. He knows what to do in these situations, and its something he wasn't in the first episode.

Overall, this episode was exciting. The idea of Timber Wolf being the son of the scientist that experimented on him, at first I thought something like that wouldn't be on a saturday morning kids show. But with this show having its differences, same goes for Batman, I guess we can expect anything. In no way is this show bad, and not even this episode was. I believe, now that Timber Wolf is here, now we can get going.

RATING: 8/10

You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
(crack!)

NICE.

Much better episode, although some elements of the show are still too juvenile (for me)...it was entertaining.

Question:

What allows Superman to breath in outer space? The ring or was he always able to do this?

Observations:

Saturn Girl sure got knocked out/knocked down a lot during this episode, I counted at least 4 times...weak. I seriously doubt she's that weak.

Superman threw away the creature that had swallowed ships at the beginning without rescuing any of its inhabitants. Robot ships or what? If so all of them? Oh well.

Brainiac's behavior is slightly irritating to me.

Bouncing/Bounding? Boy is really useless to the team so far...I sure hope he shows up soon.

I rate this episode just short of 8.

7.9/10 overall. Much better.

Timbewolf joins the LOSH, fine addition, seems like a cool character. In fact, best of the bunch thus far.

I was pleasnatly surprised with the show. I missed the premiere episode, but this one was pretty solid.

Animation and designs are nothign special, nothing too stand out, but its still good.

The writing is what surprised me most, it was alot more serious than I expected. I was definately expecting something along the lines of Teen Titans, with alot of humor and not as much seriousness.

Overall the show seems interesting, I hope to see more soon. Especially that chic that multiplies into different colored versions of herself....I want to see more of her. (Judging from the opening, she seems like she'll be a regular?)

I really liked this episode!! I hope Timber Wolf shows up again.

Isn't Lightning Lad really suppose to be Livewire? I guess they didn't want to confuse him with Livewire fro Superman TAS.
