I hope to be at the New York Comic Con three weeks from today. Is anyone else attending? I hope to be there for Saturday.

I'll be going. I bought tickets for Saturday only. Its my first ever comic-con so I'm pretty excited about it. Can anyone share their experiences from last year's comic con at the Javits? |

The event was not held at the Javits last year, and got overbooked, so I am told.

Thirty dollars is a bit steep, but Stan Lee, Neal Adams and Stephen King will be present, along with many other VIPs. I will be there to meet with people I know, so it is important. You can decide for yourself, I guess.

Thirty dollars is costly. I don't remember specifically saying that it was steep, but that is what I have to pay. I am not aware of finding any cheaper tickets online. I plan to order my ticket from the con site this Thursday or so.

I'm in it for the experience. I got a newsletter from ComicCon today and it said the online Saturday tickets are sold out. |

Go to the comic con's site; they list vendors that still have tickets available from different vendors. I myself may be SOL for them myself, but it might be for the best.

I ended up getting a three-day pass for $45. That seemed to be the best way to go. I might have to sleep in my car on Saturday night somewhere, far from NYC, but it means I can attend for at least two days. I do need to go to meet certain people.

Congrats on the pass, Catfan, that's the cheapest I've heard so far. Still not sure if we're going or not. It would be nice, but there is a lot up in the air at the moment. We'll have to see.
Bummer about the accomidations, though. How far is your drive from NYC? I'm about 2.5 hours...not exactly in our backyard, but it could be a day trip if I wanted/needed to.

Woo hoo! I got my tickets yesterday in the mail. The city's only a 40 minute train ride for me since I live in Westchester County. How early should I get there? |
