It took nearly 20 years for a Crisis on Infinite Earths novel to be released. Infinite Crisis is taking a significantly less time.

i was wondering about stories being turned into novels the other day actually. i recall the whole death of superman storyline being made in novel form by roger stern. and also there batman's no man's land as a novel as well.

im curious as to how well these novels stand up to their comic version, which would you say is better in either case?? also i know the answer to this might possibly be a long list but are there any other big deal arcs that have been turned into novels involving bats and supes?

Off the top of my head there are:

Death and Return of Superman - pretty good rushed the story a bit, but that it to be expected with a year long story.

Knightfall - also pretty good but still was rushed because of the massive story. It also changes where Bane breaks Batman from the comics.

No Man's Land - excellent retelling, this comic story lasted too long so the novel does a great job of condensing the slow parts

Crisis on Infinite Earths - not exactly the same as the comic, the whoe novel is from Barry Allen's perspective, it helps to be pretty familiar with the comics first, but I liked it

I can't think of any more books that retell the comics. There are quite a few books that are just more adventures. The few I have read were pretty good.
