Man-Bat
The Batman, Series 2: Mattel, 2004. SKU# H3895

Man-Bat?s back and he?s never looked better. This is one of the best-looking Man-Bat figures ever and it has all new design features not seen on other Man-Bat figures before. So far this is one of the truest traditional looks for a villain in this new animated series.

SPECS:

6? tall to the ear tips with a 12 ?? wingspan. 17 points of articulation (head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, wings, torso, hips). Translucent gray vinyl wings.

PROS:

Outstanding design, the translucent wings, which are pop riveted onto the arms are a really cool feature not seen before on previous Man-Bat figures. How they will hold up under play is anyone?s guess, but they look solid enough to me. The torso has a huge ball joint, which allows Man-Bat to arch back for ?flight? and to stand ?hunched over? to menace his prey. The head also has a small ball joint that allows both up and down and side to side swivel motion. The feet are thin, but long enough to allow the figure to stand easily.

CONS:

While the ball jointed shoulders have probably the best range of any figure I wonder why they have what appear to be ?stops? molded into them on top. It also would have been nice to paint the metal rivets in the joints the same bone gray color to match the figure.

OVERALL:

This is one awesome figure. While the arms are thin, they more articulated than on past figures. This not only a must have for the Batman figure collector, but for others as well, it?s just that good.

With the limited amount of villains produced this is solid buy and hard to pass up.
