Batman Costume Accessories
Batarang, Grappling Hook, Utility Belt: Rubies Costume Co., Inc. 2003

It?s all about the accessories and details. These costume items were first released in 2002 mostly in costume shops, this year they were in Target for Halloween.

SPECS:

Batarang: 8 3/8? long x 2 ?? wide. $3.99

Grappling Hook: 8 7/8? long x 4 1/8? wide with a long string and wrist wrap. $3.99

Utility Belt: 39 ?? long x 2 ?? wide with four (4) 2 ? wide x 3 ? high x 1? deep pockets and two (2) Velcro straps. The Utility Belt comes with small foam Batarang on a string and Throwing Star. $5.99

PROS:

The Batarang is a good size and easy for kids and adults to hold.
The Grappling Hook comes with a very, very long thin string. It would look good hanging from the Utility Belt.
The Utility Belt was perfect to replace the belt I have for my Batman costume (the ?89 Belt is shorter). At 39? it?s too big for kids even with the Velco straps in the back, but most adults should be able to wear this with no problem. The Utility belt is yellow with a nice wash over the ?buckle? and pockets.

CONS:

None, the workmanship was not great, but not bad for budget priced costume accessories. The Batarang has two sharps points and it is not really a toy. The pockets on the Utility Belt are small but functional.

OVERALL:

A really good Batman costume (rubber chest and other pieces) is not cheap. You can get less expensive ?jumpsuit? style Batman costumes with ?muscle chest? for a lot less. These accessories are the perfect complement to any Batman costume.
