Here's the pic from Actiontoys.com:

Its still the same as the normal public enemies batman and superman, except the so-called gloss paint is removed. It looks better w/o the gloss...

I have both of those figures already, but not the TPB. The changes seem too minor to warrant me getting this set.
If they were going to change anything, it should have been longer capes for both of them.

Thanks, brucexbatman. I still haven't gotten those figures, and Batman & Superman are probably the only ones I'd want anyway. So if I could get them cheaper together, maybe I would.

yeah, i got the set at a really cheap price, at $45. I think its cheap because they add in the set a graphic novel as well.

And the graphic novel is among one of my favourites, but I already have it, and the accompanying Batman figure. I was looking at the set in my local comic shop the other week, and I can't see any differences whatsoever, and I have no desire to get the overgrown boyscout, so I'll pass on this. It is a good set, however.
The upcoming Batman/Superman series 3 figures are out soon, and they are from the same GN, featuring characters such as Nightwing and Hawkman. I considered getting the rest of series 1 (apart from Metallo) and the JLA classified figures and having a JLA standing on my shelf, as I love the style of these figures, but I decided against it, as I only really collect Batman figures. |
