This is the thing that has thrown me with this story. Is it actually Jason? If it is they are going along with what has been a good storyline despite a lot of chances to screw it up. If it isn't this whole thing was a cheap trick. Pretty funny how the final feeling to this story is riding on the annual.

I think that the annual is supposed to come out this week or next. Probably won't know for sure until the week of.

Hush is Dr. Thomas Elliott, Bruce's childhood friend. This was revealed in the last issue of the Hush story. The Jason thing was Clayface. Although they did say that Jason was there too.

It's definitely Jason, they've come right out and said so. I was talking to somebody earlier who read an advance copy of the annual, and he confirmed it, and said the story of how Jason returned was pretty damn cool. It's out today, but I gotta wait a week to get mine, though.

There is supposed to be some connection between Todd's return and the Infinite Crisis (much like every other thing happening in DC Comics now).

Possible Spoiler Warning below:

After checking the Crisis Counseling session at dccomics.com, it's coincedental that Jason's return had a connection to IC. I don't want to give it away, but let's say a key player in IC is responsible for Jason's return.

SPOILERS FROM BATMAN ANNUAL #25

Jason Todd wasn't supposed to die in Alex Luthor and Superman-2's perfect Earth. As Superboy-Prime kept messing with the cosmic stuff (see Infinite Crisis #4, I think) Jason was brought back to life... after he had been buried for 6 months. If you want to know some more, I will tell you, but this issue is one to read. That is just the first few pages. It really gets good from there.

Yeah, they REALLY make it believable that Jason could have been warped and twisted into what he's become. And seeing the original Aparo art for the alternate "He's alive!" scene from "A Death in the Family" was worth the price alone. I've seen the art before, but having it fully colored and used in a story was great. For those of you who missed this book, if you can hold out a couple of months, the trade Under the Hood Vol. 2 is due out in May. It contains the annual plus several issues of Batman, for only $9.99. Cheap way to pick up the rest of this storyline.

That "He's Alive" scene was great, I was surprised to see it. Excellent issue overall.

I really would love to do a proper summary of this, but my time has reached absolute zero.

Spoilers for those who haven't yet read Batman Annual #25.

Superboy's pounding on the walls of the paradise/prison that he and the others went into after the first Crisis caused the progression of time to be altered. Jason Todd was originally going to live but died. Then more pounding corrected this bringing him back to life 6 months after being buried alive.

He clawed his way out of the grave and wandered the streets. He still carried the injuries that the Joker had inflicted on him so his metal state was not lucid. He was found 12 miles from the graveyard and taken to the hospital. The doctors recognized that he had been buried alive after being severly beaten and blown up. A search was done to find where he may have emerged in a radius of 10 miles from where he was found.

He got out of the hospital and lived on the streets. With all the brain damage that had happened Jason Todd was not really living his body was just acting and surviving. Occassionally the skills he had learned as Robin kicked in.

Then he was found by the agents of Ra's al Ghul. Talia nursed him back to further health, but he never got better mentally. Ra's ordered Talia to send him away because Jason was only serving as her lap dog. Taliz then immersed Jason in the Lazarus Pit. Jason Todd emerged fully healed and returned to his former self.

The Demon's Head was not happy with Talia's actions and she had the help Jason escape. She gave him supplies and news clippings of what had happened with Batman and the Joker.

Jason was very displeased that the Joker was still alive and vowed vengeance onhim and Batman. He followed Bruce Wayne's footsteps in wandering the world to learn how to do what he felt he had to do. After he was ready to return to Gotham Talia introduced Jason to Hush. Hush promised Jason the chance to confront Batman.

Jason had to see Batman, and after switching places with Clayface he returned to his hideout and decided to become the Red Hood.

So Hush WAS Jason, like alot of us thought...??

Hmm, interesting. Sounds like a good read. But how does everyone feel about this?

No, Talia helped get Jason and Hush together. Hush is still who he has always seemed to be despite an attempted cop out in a few issues of Gotham Knights.

Sorry, I thought I was pretty clear there. I'll come up with a better way to phrase it.
