Does anyone have any news or updates on Brian Azzarello's Joker graphic novel? All I know is you can pre-order it and it comes out on Oct. 28th. Anything else though?

I've been looking into buying this. My Book-A-Million had about 3 copies when I first spotted them, but they were all wrapped in plastic. Next time I went there, they were all gone. Seems like a pretty popular book, but at the same time I've been having a hard time finding info about it on the internet. Weird. Has anyone bought it?

It was alright. Nice artwork, but the story had no real direction. Quite uneventful considering the premise. The story hinted at in interviews and previews are a lot better than the book itself. Infact, without reading certain quotes from Azzarello, the story would've been even worse.

It really isn't the psychological insight into the Joker that we've been lead to believe it is. I like Batman's guest appearance though. The scene was a nice touch.

All in all, if it was a 100 pages longer, it would've been a lot more fulfilling and satisfying.
