When I was a child I had a pedal powered batmobile that I wore out riding everyday. I loved that batmobile and all my friends wanted one just like it. Lately I have been trying to find that same batmobile for my son. However, I can't even find a picture of the one I had as a child. So I am asking all of you if you can point me to some web site or book where I could find more information about that batmobile. It was made sometime in the early 80's and was pedal batmobile. It was black and if I remember correctly in only fit one person but I could be wrong about that. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Does anyone know where I can find a picture of it or the company that produced it? I have been looking through e-bay and the web in general but the only terms I can think of to search for this item are 1980's pedal powered batmobile. Anyone that could help I would appreciate a push in the right direction. Thanks!

If it was in the style of the 60's Batmobile, then I remember it, but unless it's on Ebay, you won't be able to find one now.

They do have newer one though..

This super sleek Batmobile pedal car was styled after the cartoon series! Features a light-up dashboard, 15 sound effects, screeching tires, revving engine, and easy to use.

(click the pics for more info from Amazon)

And at 50 bucks, I think thats a real good deal.. but thats just me big grin

There have been rumors of a pedal car based on the TV show Batmobile to be manufactured and sold at the end of this year. I wouldn't pre-order one until after they have been released and I had heard from someone who actually owns it already, but here is the manufacturer page:

...and here is an eBay auction that was taking preorders (now closed):

Wow that Pedal Car was cool. Why didn't they have that when I was a kid. I wish I knew where I could find an adult size Go-Kart with that style body on it.

I know there was a Batman big-wheel in the '80s, probably 1989 judging by the box art. Someone I knew still had the big box to it which they used for moving. I haven't been able to find images of the bike or box on the web though.

The new Toys R Us catalog I got has an electronic The Batman Batmobile that goes up to 5mph. It costs $399 I think. Still, I couldn't help but want to strangle the kid sitting in it in the photo. I wanted an '89 Batmobile so bad when I was that age.
