Your on the largest Batman site.. we have info and pics:
http://batmanytb.com/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/comic/dcdfigures/justiceleague/
Now why it costs so much? My guess is because it's one of the best and sought out Batman figures.

It's a vastly ovarrated figure, in my opinion. I preordered one at my comic shop, and the day they arrived I dug through all of them. I was looking for one that didn't look like he was wearing lipstick, but it was in vain. It's a decent figure with a pretty good sculpt, but it has lousy paint apps, and it's far from the best ever made. Not even in my top ten. If you're a huge fan of the Alex Ross style, it's worth getting, but I wouldn't go beyond the $25 mark.

Well I forgot to welcome you to BYTB when I responded to your other posts yesterday. Welcome BornAgainBatman to BYTB! BYTB is the largest Batman fan site there is you should never have to ?LoG On? to any others. We have the largest "Batabase" of just about everything that has ever been released that relates to Batman. Nobody has a larger section of figures and other merchandise, NOBODY.
I know you?re new here, but check out the YTB Reviews Board. Here you will find reviews that myself and many others have done of Figures, Toys, Movies, Books and such. I have over 1,900 action figures in my collection, many of them are featured here on BYTB.
The reason the Alex Ross Justice League Batman goes for $40 is because it can.
Alex Ross is one of the best comic artists ever and his take on Batman is simply awesome, just like his other figures.

That Batarang is really, really hard for the figure to hold. Every time I bump my desk he drops it.

There is a big enough internet for everyone.
BYTB prides itself in having the most comprehensive database on the net. You won't find another Batman site that gives you so much detail about a figure. We take the time that is need to insure you have the most information. Like the review for the Alex Ross figure, I totally forgot Flabat did one, but, he's honest and tells you like it is.
BTW.. we don't claim to be the best, we claim to be the biggest, and thats a fact. If you want to say we're the best.. then ok,
