Hey guys
for those of you who didn't know, DC Direct released a new line of figures called ReActivated. I just bought the batman, he's probably a repaint of the Hush Batman.....
Wave 1: Lobo, Superman, Batman, WW

I posted about this a little after the initial news hit. You posted in the thread yourself, remember?

Yes, Batman is a repaint of the original Hush Series 1 edition but with some noticeable retooling on the utility belt. Most figures in Reactivated will be repaints or simply re-issues. That is a great looking Batman, but I think the Crisis on Infinite Earths Series 2 Batman will be a tad better in illustrating the '80s/'90s style, so I'm going for that one. I'm glad they're putting out sets like this to drop the ridiculous value of the original editions and offer fans a second chance.

Thats probably not the most attractive version of Wonder Woman I've ever seen (I know, I know; not that that will remotely affect her powers in anyway, shape or form etc)! Just an observation! |

I wasn't looking for them, but I saw them all in my local comic shop today - up close and personal I thought they actually all looked good!

A new figure with a very similar costume design to this ReActivated version would be the entirely original Batman of Crisis on Infinite Earths Series 3, which was released not too long ago. Either way you go, you're getting a fine looking figure.

Did you mean the Kingdom Come Batman that is in the next wave or this figure?
On a side note there is a DC Direct "Fear" set that includes yet another repaint of this Hush Batman figure and the Scarecrow. The Fear Set Batman is blue and gray with black trunks, but he also has a black cowl face too, as well as blue streaks on the black trunks like it is often colored in the comics.

Yes, i did mean the Kingdon Come Batman.
I have the Fear set and i do like it better than the ReActivated wave 1 Batman.
I say the best ones is the Huse version than the unmasked version and than the fear set version which makes The ReActivated vesion the less favorite.
I also have the Exclusive DC Set that cost me $150.00.
It comes with a Resin and a prototype, and a retool Hush Batman |

I?m not so sure I agree with you on this one.
Both use the same Hush Batman body with a new Utility Belt

ReActivated Series 1: Batman
A classic blue/gray Batman with black trunks.

Batman Scarecrow Fear Collector Set
A classic blue/gray Batman with black trunks, but they add the black face cowl and these blue streaks on the hips of the trunks.
For whatever reason I?ve never really like the black trunks with the blue/gray color scheme and I don?t black face cowl at all or those blue streaks on the trunks either even though I suspect they mimic the way he?s colored in the comic books.
Although I do agree that the DCD "Unmasked" Batman (again the same Hush Batman body) is one of the best ones. I like the all dark gray jumpsuit with black, cowl, cape, boots and gloves the best

Actually, I think I may like the added black better. It represents the comic book appearance in perhaps a more accurate way. I find that usually the only time Batman's mask is pure blue is when direct and bright light is shed on it, like from a helicopter spotlight. But I can see how someone wouldn't like the black & blue paint method on figures too much since it basically forces the effect of highlighting through flat paint applications.
If you take an honest look at Series 1 Batman of Hush, he really didn't have such a dark blue like that in the comics. It was a lighter, almost more aqua blue. But since they didn't add black for the effect of blue highlighting (or maybe because they didn't reference the actual comics), the figure used a much darker blue. Interestingly enough, this is nearly the opposite with Super Friends Batman; he features the black & blue highlight method but his blue is much lighter than actually seen in the cartoon series. I found that annoying and somewhat inexcusable.

It is a great mold and they need to fix that leg.
Did you guys ever seen the Exclusive Huse DC Direct Jim Lee sig series Batman? I paid 150 for mine and its a beauty.
It has the resin, a prototype and a retool Hush Batman.
