The Mattel TV Activated Batmobile is now $20 at Amazon, marked down from $50. Anybody have it? If so, is it fun/funny or silly/dorky? Does it still interact with the TV show using that VEIL technology? For 20 bucks it looks like a pretty Batmobile even if it doesn't still interact with the show. Hard to tell just by the picture on Amazon though. Somebody here must be plugging in when they watch The Batman every week. *jlbatman* |

Welcome!
Flabat did a review of the Batmobile. Read it here:

My son played it it for a day, well, that is withthe TV, we've got a new LCD TV and it doesn't work with those. But it's play worht is fun. Try Ebay though, you might find it cheaper.
If you buy it.. you can use this link:

I never got mine to work with the TV. I?m not saying it won?t, but I tried it watching a DVD on the only tube TV I have and it did not respond.
Could be?
* VEIL does not transfer to DVD.
* VEIL is only in certain parts of the TV show and I missed them.
* I was too close/far from the TV.
* I?m a dork who can?t get a toy to work.
In all honestly I did not spend a lot of time trying to make it work. I?m sure it does and I was just unlucky. The later versions of this Batmobile shipped with a DVD, so I guess it works with a DVD, I just need to know where the VEIL parts are in the shows.
Still for $20.00 you can?t go to far wrong as the car is nice on it?s own.

Thanks for the responses! This is my first post on this Board and as a long-time Bat-addict I'm glad I found this website and hope I get adept at navigating all the info here. Just saw the re-run of the ManBat's debut and there was some wild animated segments that would probably have the VEIL Batmobile shakin'. From the links and info provided I'm tempted to pick it up as it looks like a sweet Batmobile. If anyone else has this Batmobile, please chime in as I'ld like to hear from you. :yes: |
