In one of the earlier Batman '89 scripts, I remember reading Batman talking to Vicki in the Batcave. She asks if the cowl is bulletproof, and he says no, and explains that's why he wears a bright yellow target of his chest. I though it was an interesting explanantion and should have been in the movie.

i loved the kilmer first costume...besides the fact that it had nipples and a black belt. i kinda like clooney's first suit too, but i didnt quite uniderstand why it was all blue. even in the circle...oh yeah..the nipples...lol.
but my all time favorite= returns!!! oops i sed that already.
ill go ahead and say my favorite villian costume...the joker!!! i dont think anyone cud make a better suit.

personaly i never care about the hole niples thing on the suits!!in fact i hardly notice them at all !!!yes if Kilmers belt was yellow it would have been better!!!he had the best cowl by me!!

I actually think Kilmer's belt looks cool. My only problem with his suit(aside from the nipples, of course) is that it's kind of shiny. They should've made it matte black like Keaton's suit.

doesnt evryone hate the nipples? lol. and for the shiny thing....it wudnt matter. gotham is so shiny, he wud just blend in. lol. joel shumacher's gotham is very very colorful and shiny.

I would have to say my favorite suit was either the returns suit or the begins one, both of them were well done and fit well with the films. If i had been asked this question two or three years ago, I may have gone towards the forever suit, but now that i've actually taken a longer look at it, i got over it. Its not that the suit was bad, its just the glossy look and nipples that bothered me (nothin that hasnt already bin said).

I too like Kilmer's belt and it goes more towards logic, sense and realism, rather than comic book accuracy. I do agree that the suit didn't have to be shiny though.
