You could do it the right way. We've just never seen it really portrayed in the right sence. When people think of robin in mainstream culture they think of burt ward. |

Man? just when it was getting good too.
I didn?t consider this an argument. I call it a discussion and a good one at that. While some superheroes don?t have or need a sidekick, like Superman, Wonder Woman or The Flash and Batman too sometimes. I don?t see the harm in adding Robin sometime in the future if it was done the same way Batman Begins was.

but i have mixed feelings with robin in batman begins. becuz i KNOW they can make robin dark and serious, but it might be out of character; which wud suck. lets just hope for the best...

I don't think the majority of us dislike Robin, we just don't think his comic book identity could fit into the new film series. Believe me, I would love to see Robin if it were done well, but I can't imagine it in the near future. At this point, Batman is seen as a vicious demon and he relies greatly on the element of fear. Can you honestly say that a teenage, comic-accurate Robin wouldn't tarnish that element? Now maybe a few years/films into the future, when the criminal underworld knows more about Batman, maybe we could see a somewhat realistic Robin introduction. But a wise-cracking teenager could not find realistic establishment beside Batman under the current conditions. There's simply no way.
We know almost positively that Robin won't show up in the near future, so I don't think I'm making a terribly big argument in that aspect. I'm saying that in order for Robin to appear, either Batman's character and presence need change or Robin's character needs major modification to become dark, frightening, and complementary to Batman, and I can't help but find that an unrealistic expectation.
Nolan already has little to no desire to include Robin and I'm just illustrating points that back him up. I'd like to hear opposing ideas that are just as convincing, because part of me likes the idea of seeing Robin in the new film series. But realistically, I just can't help but lean toward the unlikelihood.

Does not work? It worked enough to get his own comic. It would be harer to film, but not impossible. "Robin: A hero Reborn" was Robin 1-5 which I thought were excellent issues. Almost without a batman at all. It could work. |

robin doesnt need his own movie, besides it wud be too hard. cuz even if robin is cool on his own, there NEEDS to be a batman for the origin. and with christian bale in all the batman movies, how weird wud it be to see another batman thats not christian bale? i just think robin needs his own cartoon show or something.

Comics are one thing and movies are another.
The investment made for a movie is huge, millions of dollars. How much is it to launch a comic book? Robin had already been in Teen Titans and part of JLA Young Justice before so seeing Robin in his own comic book was not much of a stretch.
Robin Begins as a feature film. Nice thought, but I doubt it.

How about a Robin that is in no way a comedic Robin as Chris Odonnel's Robin was. It would b so great if we could have a serious Robin that could b introduced into the Batman Begins movies. but ill admit that it would be a dificult feat to pull off.

Noooooooooooooooooo! Please no Robin!
It's not that i don't like Robin, I do, it's just I prefer solo Batman.
Also, I don't think this movie Franchise/Series is ready for a Robin just yet.

Right now they're exploring Batman as a character, adding characters such as Robin at this point would be a mistake as it would take too much focus from Batman. Maybe iafter a few movies they can add Robin.

oh, i'm all for batman being alone in the movies...but i'm just saying. it'll be pretty hard to make more batman movies without the sidekicks.
but with teen titans being made, i dont know if there ever will be a robin in the batman movies. and besides, nolan is a robin-hater; so is bale.

as much as i would nt mind seeing robin in batman begins [probally 4th movie] i a little bit woiried that he would be like the robin in batman forever/batman and robin.
like for one thing he was for me just a little bit too old robin/dick grason in the comics is like 13/14/15 years old and its cool to see a kid kick but!! and in the movie everyone would like him as a funny cool kid person! but then your sort of drawing atention away from batman wich is the main character here!!!
so we need to wait till atleast the 4th or 5th movie for robin. |
