Meanwhile, Adam Strange tries to get used to being a common man on Rann. Champ Hazard continues his violent attacks on even peaceful protests to the Thanagarian War. The statue to Adam Strange is torn down in order to raze a larger statue to Hazard. Adam tries to stop a lynch mob from attacking someone when they turn on Strange. Hazard steps in and kills the members of the mob. As he flies away, Champ says, "Believe in Her!" Back on Earth, Starfire and Animal man have to restrain a driver after he almost hits a child in the street. When pulled from his vehicle, the driver begins shouting the same thing. "BELIEVE IN HER!" Could this be the return of Lady Styx?? During a negotiation between Thanagaria and Rann on the planet Saad, a contagion is detected. Two aliens show up and murdering robots called Sterilizers are deployed as the aliens set a course for the original source of the contagion - Earth!

They dispatch Dark Angel to finish the job she started on Earth 34. Meanwhile, Forerunner is brought to a world where the Nazis have taken over America. She defeats the JLAxis but is ordered to stop short of killing them so that Monarch can offer them a place on his army. Forerunner is displeased by her new comrades being welcomed onto her army but Monarch will not listen to her counsel.
